Nick Shackleton-Jones
Nick Shackleton-Jones is a leading thinker and practitioner in learning, performance and organisational capability. He is the author of How People Learn (Kogan Page), now in its second edition, and is widely known for challenging traditional approaches to training and education.
Nick is responsible for coining the shift from courses to resources, developing the Affective Context Model – one of the first general theories of learning – and creating the 5Di approach to human-centred learning design. His work has shaped learning and performance strategies across a wide range of public and private sector organisations.
He is a former Chief Learning Officer at Deloitte UK and is now CEO of Shackleton Consulting. Over his career, Nick has worked across consultancy and industry, including roles at Siemens, the BBC, BP, PA Consulting and Deloitte, spanning learning strategy, culture, leadership, innovation, technology and multimedia
