Professor TV Rao
Dr. T.V. Rao has shaped the field of Human Resource Development for over five decades. As co-creator of India’s first HRD department at L&T alongside Dr. Udai Pareek, he pioneered a movement that transformed how organisations in India and across Asia approach talent, leadership, and performance.
Dr. Rao is Chairman of T V Rao Learning Systems and was formerly a long-serving professor at IIM Ahmedabad. He founded the National HRD Network and the Academy of HRD, and has consulted with over 100 organisations globally. His innovations include introducing 360-Degree Feedback to India, developing the HRD Audit and HRD Scorecard, and advising institutions like the Reserve Bank of India, UNESCO, FAO, and the Government of India on civil service and public sector reform.
Author of over 60 books on leadership, HRD, and organisational behaviour, Dr. Rao’s legacy is defined by a commitment to nation-building, capability development, and evidence-based practice.
